You are not human if you don’t feel fear – Bear Grylls
This is a famous quote by Bear Grylls. Those who have watched the episode, for them this quote is the first and final statement. You have to survive and you need to catch up challenges for the same. But is this quote valid in Real life? Is this what was the small 8 months old said when she was thrown up on the divider to have her head crashed? Is this what the 19-year-old mother informed when she was having a dead child on her lap? Is this what the beasts had planned off when they were brutally raping her like a dog? A million questions are awaiting for the incident which happened on the 29th of May.
Manisha (name changed) and her husband had an argument with their neighbour. Their 8-month-old child fell off the stairs and they were cursing their neighbour for the act. Their neighbour who was a pregnant lady was defending herself from refraining that she hasn’t done this act. In the meanwhile, Manisha’s husband got angry and slapped their neighbour. This resulted in a severe nasal bleeding and she had a miscarriage. Immediately after, she informed the Police. Manisha and her husband flew away from the area in search of shelter. Her husband went to Naharpur and she rushed with her small tiny tot to her inlaws place in Gurgaon. It was around 12 AM midnight on May 29. Wanting to reach Khandsa village as soon as possible, she took a lift from a Truck driver. Soon after boarding the truck, she came to know that the driver was heavily drunk. He started touching her inappropriately. She refused initially, but the driver didn’t stop. So she decided to jump off the moving truck. Having seen the driver approaching her, she took help from three unknowns who were enjoying their beer at a hotel nearby. They not only assured them to make her reach safely to her inlaws place, but they also hit hard on the Truck driver. A statement soon came Hari tu khaana bandhwa, hum gaadi more kar laate hai the driver remarked. The road near the hotel was deserted and instead of taking the correct route, they turned their vehicle into the jungle.
So, as usual, the wild beasts have eaten up the flesh which happens as of a movie episode. But the story didn’t end up here. The wild beasts took their turns to check up on the flesh, and since a small doll was attached to her mother’s lap, she was weeping. The doll was crying seeing so many people attacking her mother. And suddenly she stopped crying. There wasn’t a single word of her mouth. The beasts have killed her. They threw her on the road and her head was smashed in a divider. They only did this because the chirp of the small bird was disturbing their heinous crime. They then drove the vehicle throwing Manisha in the jungle. Manisha, who was half conscious by now, firstly rushed to check her child. With the child in her lap, she rushed to a nearby industry in Sector 8, where the security guard helped her with a shelter for the night. The guard, along with his supervisor, arranged an auto-rickshaw to Khandsa. She went to a hospital where her tiny tot was declared dead. She couldn’t believe their words and went to her parent’s house in a Metro with the deceased in her lap. There she consulted another doctor and the same statement came back. Meanwhile, her husband called her up and asked her to come back. She again boarded a Metro with the deceased in her lap and arrived at MG Road where her husband was present with some Police forces. They lodged a complaint about their daughter’s death. It’s later since 3rd June when she gained the courage to inform everyone about her rape. One of the accused is arrested, and the search for the others are still pending.
Are we really becoming beasts? First of all, Manisha’s husband went with brutally hitting a Pregnant lady which led to her miscarriage. And then this heinous crime. Seriously, people, we need to do something for these. There are reportedly more than 100 cases of rape and molestation in Delhi every month. Are girls only treated as flesh? Is the Bon-Appetit song valid for every girl in Delhi? Development cannot be possible unless these evil are removed from the society. No one has the right to ruin a girl’s present and future. Who gave these guys right to rape someone, murder someone, and so on? It’s for sure evil will break on them very soon. There was the Damini case which still thrills our hearts, and now this one. Where has humanity broken down to? I am ashamed of my humanity which cannot provide justice to the crores of people who are crying there. I can hear the cry of the tiny tot. She is still asking the society, what have I done. Why I am killed. I was hungry, should I not express my hunger? I was missing my mother. Also surely the unborn would have asked that please spare my mother. She is innocent. She didn’t do anything. Do you have evidence against my mother? Why are you beating her? A thousand of questions profounding, a million of answers awaiting.
